Job Description

Position: Sr QA Engineer

Location: White Plains, NY

Length: Perm

Salary: Base + Bonus

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of quality assurance, including testing, automation, and overall system qa. You will implement project plans for testing and will implement the test plans, testing of infrastructure, and test automation. You are responsible for insuring quality, functionality and usability of products going into production. You will work with product development and technology teams, and with customers to identify and resolve issues with the quality of products in production. You will conduct system and integration testing and validation activities, and will provide second level support as needed.
Experience and Skills:

To be considered, candidates must have a BS degree in Computer Science or related field, and 3 - 5 years experience with quality assurance and software testing. We also require 3 years of software development experience, with C/C++, Java or high level Scripting languages, such as Perl or Python. Must have experience with automated tools, TCP/IP, SQL, Windows and very strong UNIX system level experience (3-4 years in UNIX environment). Should have Mutlicast knowledge, great problem solving and analysis skills. Qualifed candidates will also have good communication skills and be very self directed.
Experience working with MQSeries, TIBCO or RMDS, and experience working with API's is helpful.
