Continuum Health Partners is a non-profit Hospital System in New York City that comprises five historically distinguished hospitals: Beth Israel Medical Center, Roosevelt Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, Long Island College Hospital and NY Eye & Ear Infirmary.
Continuum Health Partners IS Department is currently seeking a Core Enterprise Infrastructure Technology Administrator. The Core Enterprise Infrastructure Technology Administrator's role will include assessments of new planning products and methods, participating in the development of appropriate support methodologies / maintenance procedures and in the development of processes and procedures for all enterprise class distributed technology. The ability to effectively communicate with Team members, peers, vendors, and customers verbally and in written form is critical in this position. .
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Design and enforce request handling and escalation policies and procedures.
* Track and analyze trends in (CEIT) requests and generate statistical reports.
* Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) based on request trends and make recommendations.
* Design new processes and procedures to increase the first call resolution to identified applications and operating systems.
* Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.
* Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
* Assist with development and dissemination of help sheets, usage guides, and FAQ lists for end users.
* Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of (CEIT) procurement and development efforts.
* Liaise with vendors for the procurement of new systems technologies, oversee installation, and resolve adaptation issues.
* Establish and enforce (CEIT) service levels agreements in consultation with other departmental managers and end users to establish service expectations and timeframes.
* Collaborate with other departments to identify and/or procure (CEIT) software / hardware for internal staff and/or external clients.
* Develop and maintain a maintenance calendar by application
* Knowledge of Clustering and SAN storage.
* Understand that application ownership means all aspects of the application
* 1-2 years design & implementation enterprise systems
* Manages and coordinates all aspects of implementation, design, and maintenance of enterprise information systems in order to effectively use information technology solutions to improve upon enterprise infrastructure operations.
EXPERIENCES AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED
* Demonstrated progressive experience in the management of a technical support team.
* Must have demonstrated examples of providing Root Cause Analysis.
* Assure that IT physical planning principles and standards are applied and perform related work as required.
* Experience with IT physical infrastructure environments, Data Center hardware platforms and complex infrastructure environments
* Participate in IT Infrastructure Planning
* Assist in data migration projects
* Assist in development of deployment and test plan and significant within large scale Windows Enterprise Demonstrate ability in automation of routine Windows Administration tasks including Patching, Security Auditing, and SMTP tasks where necessary
* Knowledge of Windows scripting to assist with application deployment
* Knowledge of how to image PC's and laptops on a large scale
* Must have detailed experience in DHCP, DNS, Proxy, Active Directory, Exchange and Internet Access.
* Understanding and support of systems utilizing 802.X technology.
* Experience in supporting multiple handheld platforms, including PDA's and laptops.
* Demonstrated experience in Security technologies, including Antivirus / Malware protection, forensic tools, and other state of the art methodologies.
* Knowledge of desktop support methodologies.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field and/or 6 years equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 4 years enterprise technology knowledge is preferred
